Net profit = Revenue − COGS − Payment fees − Shipping − Refunds − Ad spend − Overhead.
Net margin = Net profit ÷ Revenue.
True ROAS (POAS) = (Net profit before ad spend) ÷ Ad spend — i.e. profit per ad dollar, the number that tells you if a channel actually pays for itself out of margin (not just revenue).
