Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 6, 2026
ProfitPeek ("ProfitPeek," "we," "us") provides a profit-analytics application for Shopify merchants. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how we use it, and the choices available to you. By installing ProfitPeek you agree to this policy.
1. Information we access
When you install ProfitPeek on your Shopify store, with your authorization we access store data through Shopify's official APIs, limited to what is needed to calculate your profit:
- Order data — order totals, line items, quantities, discounts, taxes, shipping charges, transaction fees, and refunds.
- Product data — product and variant identifiers, titles, and the cost values you enter.
- Shop data — your store name, domain, currency, plan, and contact email.
- Costs you provide — cost of goods, shipping, handling, and ad-spend figures you enter or import.
We request the minimum Shopify access scopes required for these calculations and comply with Shopify's Protected Customer Data requirements.
2. How we use it
We use this data solely to provide the service: computing net profit, margins, profit by product, and true ROAS; displaying your dashboard; sending the profit digests you opt into; and improving and supporting the app. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Personal / customer data
ProfitPeek's purpose is aggregate financial reporting, not customer marketing. We do not require or display individual customers' names, emails, or addresses for core functionality. Where order data includes such fields, we handle it in line with Shopify's Protected Customer Data policy and do not use it beyond profit calculation.
4. Storage & security
Data is stored on reputable cloud infrastructure (database and hosting providers) with encryption in transit. Access is restricted to what is needed to operate the service. We retain your data only while your store has the app installed.
5. Data retention & deletion
When you uninstall ProfitPeek, we stop accessing your store and delete or anonymize your store's data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. You may request deletion at any time by emailing us. ProfitPeek also honors Shopify's mandatory data-erasure (GDPR) webhooks for shop and customer redaction.
6. Subprocessors
We rely on a small set of infrastructure providers to run the service (cloud hosting and a managed database). They process data only on our instructions and under their own security and privacy commitments.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data. To exercise them, contact us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable period.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
